Community Garden
There are few pathways toward health that are better than the nutrition and exercise provided by a vegetable gardening.
We have committed over 1500 square feet of earth to the south of our building for vegetables to serve the needs of our daily meal program at Kay's Kitchen. This is one small step toward better nuitrition, improved food quality, and reconciled relationships with the environment.
We are also reliant on volunteer help and the support of local businesses and organizations. Purdue Extension, volunteers and support from Grant Master Gardeners help first time gardeners to learn gardening skills, pest control, and nutrition information.
